Any large sound system designed to play bass music (whether it be dubstep/brostep, bass heavy breakbeat or electro, drum and bass, or gabber) will probably have the ability to keep the stereo sound pretty wide all the way down to about 100 hertz. It's an illusion that you need to have your bass synths pitched real low to sound like a bass.Īlso, the idea of keeping your bass monophonic and smack in the middle of the stereo spread is out of date. Wobbles are a cop-out for making real bass lines if ya ask me.Īnd, keep in mind, most good bass sounds aren't really bass but mid-bass. I love hearing dubstep tracks that DON'T have a wobble bass and just have a good bass line that can carry the track without a bunch of friggin effects on it. Well, the fun thing about this is that the wobble doesn't actually have to be a wobble.
